Kindy RG Classes

3-4 Years

Our Kindy RG classes are designed for 3 to 4-year-old boys and girls. These are structured classes, without parent involvement, and are founded on child development principles. These classes introduce the basic skills and movement of gymnastics through fun and exciting activities which give the children the opportunity to optimise brain development and increase physical potential before they go to school. We provide classes that provide a safe environment for children to experience a wide range of movement activities and be encouraged to think, create, construct and solve problems with their own bodies. Educational research tells us that children learn best through exploring and discovering their abilities through physical activity. Our Kindy RG classes are 45 minutes long during which the kids participate in a warm-up, stretching, circuit-based activities, learning to use handheld apparatus, introduction into acrobatics, jumping on a trampoline, and much more. Our equipment set-ups are safe, stimulating and provide endless movement opportunities for children to play, explore and learn. This program offers children fundamental movement while developing co-ordination, self-esteem, physical, social and cognitive development.

At Aspire, we specialise in Rhythmic Gymnastics classes for girls. Rhythmic gymnastics is a captivating sport that combines elements of ballet, gymnastics, dance, and apparatus manipulation. It is performed solo or in groups, and athletes use a variety of apparatus, including ribbons, hoops, balls, clubs, and ropes, while executing choreographed routines set to music. The sport demands a combination of flexibility, strength, coordination, balance, and creativity, with a strong emphasis on artistic expression.

Routines in rhythmic gymnastics are judged based on technical execution (such as precision in moves and apparatus handling), artistry (such as fluidity and grace), and overall presentation. Athletes often perform difficult acrobatic skills, leaps, and balances, while seamlessly integrating the apparatus into their movements.

Our Rhythmic Gymnastics classes offer girls to:

·      develop posture and confident body movement, for sport and life

·      enhance co-ordination and agility, for body awareness and balance enhances creativity and builds self-confidence

·      increase flexibility and strength and prepares the body for the life's challenges

·      develop healthy minds and bodies for now and later life

In short, rhythmic gymnastics is a wonderful way for girls to develop both physically and mentally. It fosters a sense of discipline, creativity, and teamwork while offering numerous physical and emotional benefits.

High Performance Squads

It takes thousands of hours of deliberate training for a talented athlete to reach elite levels. This translates into an average of more than 3 hours of training daily for 10 years. There are no shortcuts; athlete development is a long term process. Short term performance goals must never be allowed to undermine long term athlete development. The International Gymnastics Federation requires that gymnasts be a minimum of 16 years of age to compete in the Olympics or World Championships. Australian gymnasts who compete at world levels will have had at least 10 years of preparation by the age of 16, and likely well in excess of 10,000 hours.

Aspire Gymnastics Academy (AGA) has a proud tradition of supporting athletes in their sporting pursuits within Rhythmic Gymnastics. The objective of Aspire’s High-Performance Program is the fulfilment of podium finishing performances at Australian Championships and ultimately progress to selection into Australian teams for international representation.
